Sixth grade took their CKLA learning to a whole new level with a chocolate tasting - all in the name of education, of course. Students analyzed, compared, and very professionally debated flavors, textures, and "mouthfeel" (a real academic term....probably)
Was it bitter? Sweet? Mysteriously delicious? The room was filled with critical thinkers, chocolate critics, and a few kids who suddenly wanted to major in cocoa studies.
Proof that learning is sweeter when it's hands-on... and sometimes melts a little.

This was videotaped to be shown during our upcoming Family & Community Engagement Night. Many people at Meadowbrook and the community assisted to make this all come together.
A special thanks goes out to Ms. Cromar & Ms. Fowles for volunteering their time during the After School Program for several weeks to teach the songs and the choreography to the students.
We also had many volunteers to help put on make-up and assist in the teaching.
