Second graders at Meadowbrook recently proved that big talent can come in small packages as they brought the beloved fable The Mitten to life on stage.
With adorable costumes, expressive voices, and plenty of excitement, students retold the classic winter tale of animals squeezing into a lost mitten to stay warm. Each child proudly played a role, from tiny forest creatures to the trees, earning smiles and laughter from the audience.
The performance showcased more than just acting skills. Students practiced reading fluency, teamwork, and confidence as they memorized lines and worked together to tell the story from beginning to end. Teachers and families were delighted to see how much effort and joy the students put into the production.
As the final bow was taken, it was clear that these second graders didn’t just put on a play—they created a warm memory that will last long after the mitten was packed away. 🧤✨
